Who We Are

YWCA Delaware is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Each year, YWCA Delaware serves more than 8,000 individuals and families across the state through emergency and supportive housing, 24/7 domestic violence and sexual assault crisis response, financial empowerment services, youth development programs, and community engagement initiatives.

With regional centers in Wilmington, New Castle, and Georgetown, we help people find safety, build stability, and achieve economic security,

In 2025, 9,594 individuals participated in our comprehensive programs throughout Delaware.

Throughout our history, YWCA has been at the forefront of most major movements in the United States, including as a pioneer in human rights, labor union representation and the empowerment of women. YWCA Delaware operates as an independent 501(c)3.
