About Melissa Gonville

Melissa Gonville was appointed CEO of YWCA Delaware in March 2023, after serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer beginning September 2022.

A seasoned business executive, Gonville brings more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, with leadership roles in operations, marketing, data management, and technology. She is recognized for her inclusive leadership style, strong program management, and expertise in team building and process improvement.

Melissa’s connection to YWCA Delaware began in 2007 when, while leading JPMorgan’s Women’s Networking Group, she first became an advocate for the organization’s mission. She went on to serve on YWCA Delaware’s Board of Directors from 2009–2014, including as Board President from 2011–2013. During her board tenure, she chaired the Evening of Style fundraising event and contributed to both the Finance and Fund Development Committees.

Throughout her career, Gonville has been deeply committed to advancing opportunity and creating pathways for women and underrepresented professionals to thrive. At JPMorgan, she led women’s business resource groups and launched impactful mentoring initiatives that supported career growth and strengthen workplace culture.

Today, as CEO, Melissa brings her positive energy, vision, and passion for community into guiding YWCA Delaware’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
