Celebrate the historical significance of Juneteenth with YWCA Delaware on Saturday, June 14th.
YWCA De will join the Delaware Juneteenth Association parade from Rodney Square to Tubman-Garrett Park where we will host a booth during the afternoon festival.

Community Health Fair
The Community Health Fair is being held in Wilmington near 709 Madison St. on August 22 from 10 - 2pm. This event brings healthcare providers, community organizations, and New Castle County residents together to celebrate health and well-being. Our goal is to decrease health disparities in the community, increase knowledge of community resources, change community stigma around accessing health services, and to promote a better overall quality of life. We expect over 200 attendees and 80 vendors to join us.

YWCA Delaware is looking for an original design to feature on our 2025 Juneteenth T-shirt. Celebrate with us by submitting or voting for your favorite design!
Delaware artists of all ages are encouraged to enter an original design between April 18 - May 15, 2025. Designs must be suitable for a general audience and depict a Juneteenth theme. There is no fee to enter.

Join Us in Transforming Lives During DoMore24, Delaware’s largest 24-hour day of Giving from Thursday, March 6 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until Friday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m.
Help a family experiencing homelessness with groceries for the weekend
YWCA Delaware plays a critical role in ending homelessness in our state. Our Home-Life Management Center in Wilmington, DE offers 28 emergency shelter units for families and is running at full capacity.
Families come to us with diverse backgrounds, often with limited possessions or financial resources. Among our current residents is a mother seeking safety after fleeing gang violence —her home was burglarized and set on fire when her son chose a new path. We also have a single mother with an infant who had recently relocated to Delaware, as well as a two-parent household, both of whom are enrolled in a job training program, with two children and a third on the way.
Families placed with YWCA Delaware live in a dorm-style unit with access to a microwave and toaster oven. They receive hot meals three times a day during the week, but our commercial kitchen is unavailable on the weekends.
Your gift of $25 will help provide grocery gift cards for families in our emergency shelter to purchase prepared food over the weekend. Grocery gift cards may also be donated directly by mail to YWCA Delaware, Development Department, 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 515, Wilmington, DE 19801.
By donating and sharing this campaign, you become a catalyst for change. Every gift, no matter the size, creates ripples of transformation. Thank you for doing more to help women, youth and families across Delaware!
