About Felisha Lawrence
Chief Development Officer
Felisha Lawrence, MSJA, serves as YWCA Delaware’s Chief Development Officer, bringing more than a decade of experience in housing policy, grant management, and community-based program leadership. Since joining YWCA Delaware in this role, Felisha provides strategic direction for all contributed revenue, overseeing institutional grant funding, individual giving, donor relations, and communications to support the organization’s mission statewide.
Felisha works closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors to strengthen fundraising systems, expand partnerships with funders and community organizations, and sustain programs that empower individuals and families across Delaware. Her approach is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and a deep understanding of how strategic philanthropy can drive lasting community impact.
Before stepping into the Chief Development Officer role, Felisha served as a housing grant consultant for YWCA Delaware beginning in spring 2024. Prior to that, she was Regional Program Manager for the Veterans Multi-Service Center, where she oversaw housing and supportive service programs across Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, improving access to stable housing for veterans and their families. Earlier in her career, Felisha served as Senior Program Specialist with Housing Alliance Delaware, leading grant acquisition efforts for homelessness assistance and permanent housing programs while working alongside statewide partners to align resources and advance housing stability.
Felisha holds a Master of Science in Administration of Justice from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Pre-Law from James Madison University. A New Castle, Delaware resident, she is deeply committed to the belief that everyone deserves the dignity of a safe and stable place to call home.
