SITE (Summer Internship Teen Empowerment)
YWCA Delaware’s Youth Development team is proud to sponsor two summer programs this year.
PHASE I (download flyer) is for senior youth who may or may not have obtained summer employment and want to build upon their soft skills to use this summer on the job. Each youth will be paid a weekly stipend of $50 for their attendance and engagement in this program which can be used for transportation cost to their summer job or work attire.
PHASE II (download flyer) is for our younger youth who want to learn how to own their own business. They will learn from entrepreneur guest speakers, take field trips to small businesses in the area and work on building their brand and business throughout the 4-week program. This program ends July 25th which gives youth the opportunity to operate their business the final weeks of summer. PHASE II youth will ALSO receive their $50 a week stipend to be used however youth and parents see fit.
All youth and parents must attend interest meeting which will be held THIS Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 6 p. m.
HomeLife Management Center,
709 N. Madison Street
Wilmington, DE 19801
All of the YWCA Youth Empowerment Programs can be adapted to a summer schedule, but we also offer programs that are summer specific to keep girls engaged during the summer months.
