Juneteenth Upcoming Events

Saturday, June 19, 2021 is Juneteenth, a nationally recognized holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, federal troops informed over 250,000 enslaved Texans that the civil war ended, and the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation occurred two years earlier, on January 1, 1863.

While our community continues to practice social distancing, there are many opportunities to celebrate Juneteenth 2021. Below is a list of events happening in our region. Note, registering and purchasing tickets in advance is required by most venues. CDC Covid-19 guidelines will be in effect.
