Drew Fennell, Esq.

Drew Fennell is the Executive VP of Impact, Operations, and Regional Development at Social Contract. Fennell has been widely recognized for her leadership throughout Delaware, including by the ACLU of Delaware, Delaware Human Relations Commission and Delaware State Bar Association. She also was inducted into the Delaware Commission for Women’s Hall of Fame in 2019. She currently serves as Chair of the Delaware Community Foundation and previously served as the Chief Communications and Experience Officer at ChristianaCare. Fennell earned a law degree from Rutgers University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware.

 

Dr. Velma Scantlebury-White

Dr. Velma Scantlebury-White is a Barbadian-born American transplant surgeon. She is a professor of Surgery at Texas Christian Unviersity, surgical consultant to many transplant industiries and currently serves on the National Kidney Foundation Health Equity Task Force, as well as the American Kidney Fund Kidney Health Equity Coalition. Dr. Scantlebury  has received many honors in her career, having been named to both the “Best Doctors in America” and “Top Doctors in America” lists multiple times.

Dr. Scantlebury has been passionate about educating minority communities regarding the need for more organ donors and the rising number of patients in need of transplantation. As a board member of National MOTTEP (Minority Organ and Tissue Transplant Educational Program), she continues to promote education regarding the higher incidence of renal failure and the need for dialysis within the African American community. She continues to mentor young students and is actively involved in her community through her volunteer work with the Wilmington Chapter of the Links, Inc, as well as an Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is also a Co-Founder of the newly established Delaware Health Equity Coalition, bringing comprehensive medical care to the residents of Wilmington DE. (Read more)
