Transformational Racial Healing Circles (TRHC) are an opportunity to gather and share our personal stories and truths in a brave space. This six-consecutive-week program, empowered by YWCA Delaware and Delaware State University’s Trauma Academy is available online.
Each weekly group session, guided by a trained facilitator, aims to see the shared humanity that lives in all of us. Sessions promote ways to heal from past wounds, establish mutually respectful connections across racial and ethnic lines that honor and value each person’s humanity, and build trusting, diverse community ties that better represent our shared humanity.

The TRHC program uses The Little Book of Racial Healing as a guide. The authors of The Little Book of Racial Healing, Thomas DeWolf and Jodie Geddes, share a vision of a more connected, just, and truthful community that would acknowledge and seek to heal the unresolved and persistent racial wounds of the past that continue to affect and harm all of us today. We at YWCA Delaware share this vision and believe deep equality resides in our human capacities for reason, autonomy, moral agency, and love.
We hope you will join us on this journey!
