Organization Wish List

The following "Wish List" is crafted for our Home-Life Management Center.

Please consider donations of the following items:

   •   Grocery, home improvement and department store gift cards
   •   New twin bedding/Bed in Bag
   •   New microwaves, toasters and blenders
   •   Household items: new dishes, flatware, pots and pans
   •   New towels, wash cloths, dish cloths, pot holders
   •   New twin blankets, comforters, pillows etc.
   •   Family sized toiletries (including tooth brushes, and women's personal hygiene)
   •   Cleaning products (laundry detergent, carpet cleaning solution, dish washing liquid etc.)
   •   New flashlights and rechargeable/regular batteries (C, D, AA, AAA)
   •   Disposable diapers all sizes and pull ups
   •   Journals (adult and teens & pens)
   •   Board games for lounges and kid workshops
   •   DVD player for training room
   •   Bus passes, gas cards
   •   Floor buffer and a floor stripper (for residents participating in our custodial training certification/housekeeping)
   •   (5) New Safety Standard Approved Youth Beds
   •   New Furniture Reconfiguration/Lobby desk; update old/worn fixtures and effectively house security equipment
   •   Replace worn carpet in main lobby/office corridor with quarry tile/new carpet
   •   Investigate & Finance New Security System for HLMC
   •   Mechanical Lift & Labor to clean fixtures and replace high lobby bulbs; with new energy efficient bulbs
   •   Energy efficient bulbs for the HLMC; to reduce energy costs
   •   Finance energy efficient HVAC regulation system @ HLMC; temp. control system to even temps in facility
   •   Vehicle maintenance for YWCA fleet (oil & transmission check up/change, turn up, tire maintenance, car wash/wax/vacuum)
   •   Lawn care equip; (2) working lawn mowers; (2) working weed eater; weed control chemicals; wheel barrel

YWCA Delaware retains the right to decline any donation that may not meet our specific needs.

VOLUNTEER at our Home Life Management Center
   •   Adults to do crafts, play games etc. with our children during evening workshops (M-W, 6-9PM)
   •   Leadership for Youth and Teen groups for activities during evening workshops
   •   Training/Development in the areas of job readiness, educational and trade that provides a certificate
   •   Indoor and outdoor maintenance
   •   Evening workshop presenters (share your hobbies and skills)
   •   Assist babysitters for infants, and preschoolers during evening workshops
   •   Designer/crafts person to redesign and furnish main office and lobby
