YWCA Delaware offers a series of unique events throughout the year that provides you with a variety of ways to experience the impact of our mission--from celebrating milestones of our clients, honoring community leaders to giving you the opportunity to join with others to ensure a just society.
Breakfast Celebration Fundraiser: Our primary fund-raising event that educates nearly 400 guests about our mission. We celebrate the improved lives of our clients to share the widespread impact of our programs in the community.
Mission Tour: Year-round, one-hour presentations where you experience the mission and witness first-hand the impact of the services we provide to empower women and eliminate racism.
MLK Communication Contest: Every Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we celebrate his legacy by presenting a Communication Contest to raise awareness and inspire action to affect social change around issues of racial disparity and race relations.
Stand Against Racism: In April, we join with other YW's and their communities across the country and we make a stand against racism. You are encouraged to organize your stand at school, work, neighborhood to name a few--any place where you can discuss how you and others plan to combat racism.
YWCA Delaware is proud to have the support of Paul Pruitt, one of Delaware's most published photographers!
