Our history is the history of progress in America.
YWCA Delaware leads critical social change and advocates for women, girls and their families by offering housing, domestic violence prevention, economic empowerment, racial justice, sexual assault crisis and youth programming. Our organization is widely recognized as the highly effective, inclusive and uplifting force that empowers women to achieve their full social and economic potential, helps families and strengthens our community.
YWCA USA is the oldest and largest multicultural women's organization in the nation.
YWCA USA has been at the forefront of the most pressing social movements for more than 150 years — from voting rights to civil rights, from affordable housing to pay equity, from violence prevention to health care reform. Today, YWCA USA combines programming and advocacy in order to generate institutional change in three key areas: racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement of women and girls, and health and safety of women and girls.
