YWCA's Stand Against Racism campaign raises awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities
Against Racism is a signature YWCA campaign to raise awareness about the
negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities and
is a part of our mission of eliminating racism.
On A Mission for Girls of Color
April 28 – May 1, 2016
Registration is now open!
YWCA Delaware will highlight our commitment to improving the lives of and ending racial discrimination against girls of color with this year’s “On A Mission for Girls of Color” theme and by building a chain of inclusivity at local schools currently participating in our Youth Empowerment programs. Student Leaders at each school will encourage fellow classmates to create links to the chain with a statement or quote on inclusivity or social justice. The chain will be hung in a prominent location at each school.
Participants will also sign the national pledge to Stand Against Racism.
