The Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) is committed to providing healing, hope and empowerment to all individuals whose lives have been impacted by sexual violence.
The Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) is part of YWCA Delaware and provides services to all sexual assault survivors aged 12 and older and their non-offending family members and partners in New Castle County. We welcome all survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, economic status or legal status. All of our services are free and confidential.
Sexual Assault Response Advocates (SARAs) are available 24/7 to assist survivors in need of medical, police and legal accompaniment, supportive telephone counseling, aftercare follow up services, as well as information and referral to vital YWCA and other community services. Along with individual and group counseling, the SARC offers community outreach and prevention education to encourage support for survivors. SARC has resources to help understand healthy relationships, how to avoid interpersonal violence and work towards ending sexual violence in our community.
